Eric Carr (1950-1991)

Paul Charles Caravello was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 12th, 1950. He attended the Highschool of Art and Design where he originally planned to be a cartoonist, but changed his mind to study photography. During high school his love of The Beatles was expressed by his choice of hairstyle and by playing in numerous bands that mostly performed covers of popular music. In 1967 he graduated from high school. Between his high school and before joining Kiss he was in many local bands. In 1980 he was encouraged to audition to be the drummer in the band Kiss after learning of Peter Criss’ departure. After he was accepted as a member of Kiss he took of the “fox” persona in the band. Carr was a member of Kiss from this time until he died.

Achievements:
Inducted into the Rock Walk Hall of Fame at Guitar Center in Hollywood.
July 2005: Voted 10th best drummer of all time by Planet Radio Rock
