Tim Landers (1991-2019)

Tim Landers, known for his efforts with Boston-based rock band Transit.

Achievements:
In addition to being a co-founding guitarist/vocalist/songwriter of Transit, the Stoneham-born rock band who would sign to Run For Cover and Rise Records and release five albums and four EPs between 2007 and 2014, Landers was also known for bands/projects such as Misser, Off & On, and most recently, Cold Collective.

A band credited with helping spark the recent emo resurgence, Transit experienced some commercial success before splitting in 2016. They toured constantly, appeared on Warped Tour in 2012, and charted on Billboard with their 2011 album Listen & Forgive and 2013’s Young New England. Landers left Transit in 2014 to pursue other musical interests.

Rust Epique (1968-2004) Charles Lopez better known by his stage name Rust Epique, was an American guitarist and painter, who performed with the bands Crazy Town and pre)Thing. In 1999, Rust Epique joined Crazy Town, a rap metal band from Los Angeles. Despite his success with Crazy Town, Epique quit the band as a result of various disagreements with his bandmates. In 2003, V2 Records signed Epique to work with a band called Pre)Thing. They released their debut album, 22nd Century Lifestyle, in 2004. Accomplishments:  After cutting some demos Rust signed with V2 Records in 2002. He then reassembled and re-formed an ensemble called Rustandthesuperheroes. Soon after, they began playing clubs in the Los Angeles area. Avicii (1989-2018) Tim Bergling was born on September 8th, 1989 in Stockholm, Sweden to Klas Bergling and Anki Liden. At the age of 16 he began making music due to being inspired by his brother who was also a DJ. In 2007, Bergling went on to sign a contract with Dejfitts Plays Label. He chose the name Avicii because his real name was taken on Myspace. (Avicii means the lowest level of Buddhist Hell.) In 2010, his hit song “Seek Bromance” reached the top 20 in many countries. Tim mentions his influences as Daft Punk, Swedish House Music, and Eric Prydz. In 2016, due to deteriorating health he decided to retire from performing live.
